Tijdens de 35ste editie van het Afrikafestival in Hertme stond in de middag de Malinese zangeres Kankou Kouyaté met haar begeleidingsband Les Etoiles de Garana gepland. De nog jonge Kankou is afkomstig uit een zeer muzikale familie. In 2013 werkte ze al samen met Damon Albarn en Brian Eno. Op het podium in Hertme hoorden we alleen traditionele instrumenten. Haar begeleidingsband is eigenlijk een familiegroep! Een heerlijk swingend concert!
During the 35th edition of the Africa Festival in Hertme, Malian singer Kankou Kouyaté and her accompanying band Les Etoiles de Garana were scheduled to perform in the afternoon.
