In het eerste uur van de volgende El Mundo editie richt ik de spots op de van oorsprong Bosnische zangeres Maja Milinkovic uit Sarajevo. Via Amalia Rodrigues ontdekte ze de Portugese Fado. Ze was enorm onder indruk van deze zangstijl. Ze vertrok in 2013 naar Lissabon en groeide daar uit tot een succesvol fado zangeres. Maja ontdekte ook raakvlakken met de Bosnische sevdah muziekstijl en introduceerde dat bij het Portugese publiek. In beide stijlen toont ze een groot zangtalent. Vanaf 2006 heeft ze inmiddels acht albums uitgebracht.
In the first hour of the next El Mundo edition, I turn the spotlight on Sarajevo-born Bosnian singer Maja Milinkovic. Through Amalia Rodrigues, she discovered Portuguese Fado. She was hugely impressed by this style of singing. She left for Lisbon in 2013 and grew into a successful Fado singer there. Maja also discovered common ground with the Bosnian sevdah style of music and introduced it to Portuguese audiences. In both styles, she shows great singing talent. As of 2006, she has now released eight albums.
