Vrijdag 25 juli 2026 stond op festival Sfinks in België Cabo Verde in the picture. Het was met name genieten van het prachtige eerbetoon van het Cesaria Evora Orchestra aan de koningin van de morna. Met Lucibela, Ceuzany, Theofilo Chantre en Lura en een prachtige band was het een feest om te luisteren en te kijken naar de blijvende invloed van Cesaria op de Kaap Verdiaanse muziekcultuur!
On Friday, July 25, 2026, the spotlight at the Sfinks Festival in Belgium was on Cape Verde. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the magnificent tribute by the Cesária Évora Orchestra to the Queen of Morna. With outstanding performances by Lucibela, Ceuzany, Teófilo Chantre, and Lura, backed by a superb band, it was a true celebration to witness and hear the enduring influence of Cesária on Cape Verdean musical culture.
