Deze keer richt ik de spots op de Britse folkrockband Mumford & Sons uit Londen.De band werd in 2007 opgericht door Marcus Mumford samen met Winston Marshall, Ben Lovell en Ted Dwane. Op dat moment waren ze de begeleidingsband van zangeres Laura Marling.In 2011 won de band de European Border Breakers Award en een jaar later stonden ze op Pinkpop en Rock Werchter. Na een sabbatical gingen ze in 2016 o.a. samenwerken met de Senegalese zanger Baaba Maal. Intussen zijn ze zeven albums en enorm veel optredens verder met hun aanstekelijke folkrock!
This time, I’m shining the spotlight on the British folk rock band Mumford & Sons from London. The band was formed in 2007 by Marcus Mumford, together with Winston Marshall, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane. At the time, they served as the backing band for singer Laura Marling. In 2011, Mumford & Sons won the European Border Breakers Award, and a year later they performed at the Pinkpop and Rock Werchter festivals. After taking a sabbatical, they began collaborating in 2016 with several artists, including Senegalese singer Baaba Maal. Since then, the band has released seven albums and played countless live shows, continuing to captivate audiences with their infectious folk rock sound.
